CHARACTER
Name: Daenerys Stormborn Targaryen. She mostly goes by 'Dany'.
Canon: A Song of Ice and Fire
Age: 13
Demigod/Hunter/Satyr/Nymph: Demigod. Daughter of Hephaestus.
Demigod abilities: As a daughter of Hephaestus, Dany is a very intelligent girl. She can understand how a machine works by touching it, though she's still struggling with her abilities at putting machines together or working a forge. Daenerys' real talent lies in firestarting. She has the ability to set things on fire with just a touch - Hephaestus' blessing. She tries to keep it a secret at camp, though, as pyrokinesis is something of a curse among Hephaestus children...
Personality: Daenerys has a determination within her that burns like a candle - quiet and strong, and difficult to be blown out without a large gust of wind. She's polite and gentle on the outside, and can be very friendly and good to others, like a candle providing light to a darkened house. The one big thing you have to remember about a candle, though, is that if you knock it over, it may burn your house down.
As a child, she was quiet and cowardly. Her brother teased her a lot and made her feel very inferior to him - a common trait of Hephaestus children. Because Viserys was the apple of his mother's eye and then claimed by his father first, he had this air about him, like he was going to conquer the world - and he rubbed this 'idea' into Dany's head as often as he could. Since they'd come to Hawaii two years ago, Dany has been learning to stick up for herself and talk back to her brother with the same sort of fiery indignation that he uses to speak to her. Still, she has a big soft spot for him. Even when he's treating her like dirt, she doesn't have the heart just yet to punish her as cruelly as he would.
Dany also has a bit of fear in her heart due to her family's ancestry on both sides. On the Hephaestus side, she has been gifted with the usage of fire - something that she will keep a secret for as long as she can, due to the stigma around Hephaestus children using pyrokinesis. The other fear she keeps inside - a deeply seated one - is due to her Targaryen parentage. Senility and insanity are both common traits passed down in the Targaryen bloodline, and Daenerys tries to keep a level head at all times for this reason. If she lets herself go too much, she fears she will spiral into the same fate her ancestors did.
As a Hephaestus child, Dany has cultivated a natural sense of curiosity for how things work. She's not so interested in the sciences of physics like her brothers and sisters, though - she's more interested in magic and natural sciences. She often wonders about the monsters at camp, how they survive in the wild, what kind of tools they use to go about their lives, and particularly how and what the magical borders keep out.
Before she was claimed, it was often thought that Dany and Viserys were not in fact siblings at all, but merely cousins or the like, due to her Fatal Flaw, which was recognized by many campers early on as pride. Originally, Dany was thought to be a child of Athena due to her determination, occasional warlike nature, and the unflappable idea that she was destined for greatness - ideas not common in Hephaestus cabin.
AU History: Daenerys is the last child and only daughter of Rhaella Targaryen - or, she would have been, anyway, if Rhaella didn't die while giving birth to her. She'd grown up without much female influence in her life for a good part of it - her eldest brother, Rhaegar, and the middle child Viserys watched over her for the most part. Her brothers also got a chance to know their father, whom Daenerys had never met. All she'd ever heard of him was that he was a distant man with eyes like fire and promised her mother children of great power.
Her brother Rhaegar never had the chance to learn about his real parentage like she would, though. It was common knowledge that Rhaegar was gifted with his hands as well as a tactical genius, but he was born long before the Second Titan War. If he was to ever find out who his father truly was, it would have been too late. So he did what a good warrior could do and joined the army.
But what would become of his younger brother and sister? The answer was pretty simple. He'd had a friend in Hawaii, Bharbo Momoa, who owned a large horse ranch and took them in. There, she became close to a ranch hand, Jorah Mormont, who tutored her in reading and horseback riding. He was a fan of ancient history and old languages, and often read to her from books of mythology of many cultures - spawning Daenerys' love for the fantastic. She especially loved stories of dragons and begged Jorah to bring her fantasy literature to read and art books so she could learn more about the creatures she so desperately wished were real. Oftentimes, though, it was Jorah who would end up reading the books to Dany, who had incredible difficulty with written word on a page, while the girl sat there in amazement.
At the same time, Viserys' ego grew stronger. He was claimed at thirteen by Hephaestus and began to see himself as something of a hero. He treated Daenerys as though she was lower than him because she had still gone unclaimed, and began to spout things to her that sounded like nonsense. The ranch-hands called him hyperactive, but he called himself the 'blood of the dragon' and the 'true leader', which Daenerys never understood, as Hephaestus was hardly the leader of the gods in mythology. Still, some of the ranting and raving Viserys did rubbed off on her. She didn't believe she was the blood of the dragon, but now that she'd found the Greek gods of her books existed...well, then she was certain that dragons could exist, too.
Bharbo's ranch ended up being sold, and it turned out that Jorah Mormont had been a satyr in hiding the entire time, waiting until the right moment to bring Dany and Viserys safely to Camp Half Blood, where they live full-time. She stayed in the Hermes cabin for a year, as she was unclaimed, and then finally moved into Hephaestus cabin when she was claimed at 13.
Counselor: Daenerys will serve as the Hephaestus cabin leader until a castmate older than her appears on the Taken list.

Action Spam:
[Dany's been trotting around on a pegasus for some time now. It was in her first year that she'd really taken to them, learning how to get one to trust you enough to make it spread its wings and take flight. Silver was her absolute favorite. She and the winged horse had been bonding since day one, and it wasn't an uncommon sight to see Dany around the stables, braiding her Silver's mane or tail or fitting her with a new bridle and saddle she'd made.
So it was that day she decided she'd set out to do what she'd wanted to do for a long time - see what was really going on in the attic of the Big House. Sure, the Oracle girl - Rachel, was it? She lived up there in an apartment, of course, but...well, the Big House was big. They had to be hiding something else in the attic, otherwise it wouldn't be spoken about so mysteriously.
That's why she digs her her heels into her Silver's sides that afternoon, whispering in the pegasus's ear as they move in a quick gallop towards the Big House.]
Silver, up.
[And at that moment, they took to the sky, her Silver's wings unfurling from her sides and flapping upwards, as high as she needed to be to peer into the big painting window to the attic.]
Third Person Log:
It was late at night in the Hephaestus cabin, after it was thought everyone should be asleep. Most were, of course, snoring away in their beds. But not Daenerys Targaryen, oh no. This was the time when she could finally see her babies after their long sleep during the day.
It was the first thing she'd made in the forges that didn't look a little bit wonky. She'd taken extra care this time to make sure it was completely safe for them and as humane an environment as she could possibly foster for three baby dragons.
Carefully, carefully, she pulled the cage out from behind her bunk. It was covered by a flame-retardant blanket that everyone thought was just something she'd taken to prevent fires that her cabinmates might make while working in the back room of their cabin, yes, and that part was true. Mostly, though, she'd kept it on top of the cage so if her babies spewed flame, the entire cabin wouldn't go up in smoke.
The white one reared his head, opening his little eyes and cawing softly. Her violet eyes widened in return, and she shook her head.
"No, Viserion," she said, putting a finger to the dragon's mouth. "You mustn't wake up the campers." The little white thing, who seemed to know his name, sunk his head back into the blanket he was covered in, as if embarrassed. Dany gave a small smile to her dragon and ran a finger down his wing affectionately.
She reached into the bag she'd brought with her that day to the mess hall and pulled out a small bottle of white liquid - milk. She'd ordinarily drink grape juice at mealtimes, but today she stored her drink in a little bottle so the dragons could have some food. Quietly, she scratched at the scales on the heads of green Rhaegal and black Drogon, named after her brother and a friend from home, to rouse them from their sleep.
"It's time for the three of you to have your supper," she whispered.
